The Future of Ukrainian Farming: How the “Irrigation and Precision Farming” Field Day Took Place in Borovytsia
On May 28, 2025, in the village of Borovytsia, Cherkasy district, Cherkasy region, one of the most prominent agricultural events of the year was held — the Field Day “Irrigation and Precision Farming”, organized by the Water Users’ Organization “PERSHA” in cooperation with STOV “DRUZHBA”.
The event brought together leading industry experts, government representatives, agricultural producers, and researchers to discuss the future of irrigation, climate adaptation, and the implementation of precision farming in Ukraine.
Technology That Changes the Game
The field portion of the event impressed participants with live demonstrations of cutting-edge equipment, including:

The Swiss-made Ecorobotix sprayer powered by artificial intelligence,

The Pottinger inter-row cultivator with autonomous camera-based control,

A remote launch of a Reinke irrigation machine, which visitors witnessed in real time — all showcasing the face of modern agricultural transformation.
